Post Doctoral Researcher - The Ohio State University
The Center for Human Resource Research (CHRR) requires a skilled post doctoral researcher with strong quantitative skills for the Dept. of Labor funded “Workforce Data Quality Initiative.” Works with research staff and state and federal data managers to conduct high quality analysis using state administrative data from the state of Ohio; works with project principal investigators and staff from CHRR to acquire and integrate administrative data into the CHRR networks; documents data for research purposes; based on project needs and researcher interest, the post doctorate will co-author research work; projects already on going included applied evaluation work on the US. Dept. of Labor’s apprenticeship system, focused studies on regional employment, and economic outcomes of sub-baccalaureate training. Experience:
A Doctoral degree in applied economic evaluation preferred, although candidates with degrees in education, sociology, public policy, or another appropriate field with the requisite skills will be considered. Expertise in SAS or equivalent statistic software (preferably STATA or SPSS) required; familiarity with SQL is desired. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to meet deadlines.
